Following The Spark Of Inspiration With The Magic Of Watercolor
It happens when the light is just right, a person’s posture is telling a story, or fog has created a special scene. Things like this ignite a spark of inspiration and form an idea or image in the mind. It is like an itch that can’t be ignored. When this happens I am compelled to try and capture it with watercolor.
I attended the University of Minnesota and studied fine arts but have very little formal training with watercolor. It is the medium that has attracted me more than any other because of the clean, crisp glow that can be achieved.
I live in the Blue Mountains of Southeastern Washington State and spend as much time in outdoor activities as possible. Most of my painting time is during the winter months when I tend to become a little obsessed with watercolors.
